Nomination is part of the NHS Electronic Prescription Service (EPS). It tells your GP surgery which pharmacy to send your prescriptions to electronically. Once Wellsway is your nominated pharmacy, your prescriptions arrive with us automatically, with no paper slip to drop off.

No. Nomination only changes where your prescriptions are dispensed. You stay with your GP surgery exactly as you are, and there's no registration process or paperwork at the surgery.

No. The nomination change happens on the NHS system, so there's nothing to cancel with them. One thing to remember: any prescription already sent to your old pharmacy stays there, so collect anything that's waiting before you stop going in.

The form takes about two minutes, and we usually set up the nomination within one working day of confirming your details. It applies to prescriptions your GP issues after that point.

Yes, at any time and for free. You can nominate a different pharmacy, or remove your nomination altogether, by asking any pharmacy, your GP surgery, or through the NHS App.

That's fine, it's optional. Your name, date of birth, postcode and GP surgery are enough for us to find you on the NHS system. If you do have it handy (it's on any prescription slip), it just speeds things up.
